RMWA Pace Chart
Take the guesswork out of your race day pacing.
Whether you are chasing a new Personal Best, aiming to cross the finish line a little faster than before, or simply trying to maintain a steady effort during your long training runs, pacing is everything.
To support our running community, we have developed a comprehensive, easy-to-read Pace Chart.
This completely free resource calculates your estimated finish times across the standard race distances.
What’s Inside the Chart?
Designed for both elite runners and everyday runners, this chart covers:
- Pace Range: From a blistering 3:00 min/km to a steady 8:40 min/km (in 10-second increments).
- Standard Distances: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon.
- Clear Formatting: Easy-to-read rows and columns so you can find your splits at a glance, even in the pre-race adrenaline rush.

We know our community prints these out to stick on their fridges, tape to their dashboards, or carry in their race-day bags. To ensure it prints perfectly no matter where you are in the world, we have provided two standard paper sizes.
(Note: Both versions are identical in content and use the metric system/kilometres. Choose the one that matches your home printer’s default paper size!)
How to Use Your RMWA Pace Chart
- Find Your Goal Pace: Look down the far-left column to find your target minutes per kilometre (e.g., 6:00 min/km).
- Check Your Distance: Read across the row to see your estimated finish time for your target race (e.g., at 6:00 min/km, your Half Marathon time will be 2:06:35).
- Train Smarter: Use the chart to benchmark your training efforts. For example, if your goal race pace is 5:30 min/km, you can look at the 10K column to see that covering 10 kilometres at that exact pace takes 55:00. This gives you a clear, measurable target to gauge your effort.
- Race Day Strategy: Print it out, highlight your goal pace, and use it to keep your mind focused on your Target Race Pace.
